This debuting home bred by 'Giant's Causeway' is from the Baffert barn (26% first out), and he has this colt working well above average at Santa Anita. Gets a slight edge if ready.
2nd pick: #8 (Concur) (5-2) - Colt has finished 2nd in both starts, and stalker should love the long stretch here. Son of 'Curlin' has a nice outside post and is an obvious threat.
3rd pick: #5 (All Out Blitz) (7-2) - Home bred from the quality operation of Kaleem Shah rallied while extremely wide to finish 3rd at this level and distance at Del Mar Nov. 11. Working fine since, he's another that should love the lengthy local stretch.
4th pick: #2 (Montmarte) (3-1) - Highly touted son of 'Distorted Humor' makes his debut off of some very quick local works. Home bred drilled five furlongs from the gate in :58.40 on Nov. 24, and it's noted that the very selective Mike Smith is aboard.
