Long Beach State at UCLA

Long Beach State went UNDER its last seven games last season and UCLA stayed UNDER in three of its last four to end the 2017-18 season. The 49ers figure to be much improved this year, especially defensively, as it returns four starters plus four key reserves. UCLA defeated Indiana-Purdue in its season opener while holding the Mastodons to 36.6 percent shooting and just 9-of-37 from three-point range. Kris Wilkes led the Bruins with 27 points and Moses Brown added 19 points and 17 rebounds. UCLA is contending with several injuries, including Brown, who is questionable for this one.
