Result:
WIN

Las Vegas plays its second game after opening with a loss to the Connecticut Sun. They have rookie A’ja Wilson, the top pick from this year's draft, who scored 14 points Sunday and will only get better. The frontcourt is improved after adding center Kelsey Bone in a trade from Phoenix and getting free agent center Carolyn Swords to join Isabelle Harrison. It's a defensive-oriented group under coach/GM Bill Laimbeer that is a huge dog in this one. The team is on a 13-6-1 spread run on the road, plus 17-8-1 ATS when following a spread loss. They face a Washington squad that is lacking depth with Tayler Hill still out (knee), their third-leading scorer last season (13.3 points per game). The Mystics are also without center Emma Meesseman, their second leading scorer and rebounder, as she will miss the season while preparing for the 2018 World Cup with her Belgian National Team. Washington won its opener but failed to cover as a double-digit favorite over Indiana, 82-75. Washington shot 41.8% and got outrebounded 39-27, including 10-5 on the offensive glass. Washington is on a 4-10 ATS run, including 7-16 ATS against the Western Conference. With Vegas 10-2 ATS in the last 12 meetings at Washington, back the big dog. Play Las Vegas.
