Top pick: #5 (UPPERLINE) - Steady performer was a G3 winner back in 2010 running on "poly", but has become a much better runner since trainer Mike Stidham began racing her on the grass. She just missed on this course, at this distance last fall to today's rival "Senada" and comes into this off a near miss at the Fair Grounds March 31st in a $100K stakes. That was her seasonal debut and should set her up perfectly for this attempt.
2nd pick: #1 (Here to Win) - Brazilian import made quite a name for herself racing in South Africa and is (14-5-2-2) overall on the grass and last out rallied from far back to win the Very One Stakes (G3) at Gulfstream on Feb. 25. Mare can "run all day" and this 12-furlong trip is not an issue.
3rd pick: #3 (Senada) - As mentioned above, she defeated "Upper" here last fall at this distance in the $125K Dowager Stakes and ran evenly in her seasonal debut March 31st at Gulfstream. Stretch threat.
