Kansas City at Seattle

Jason Vargas has pitched well for Kansas City, but not over his last two starts, however, he has an excellent track record at Safeco. Last year, as a member of the LA Angels, Vargas pitched to a 1.88 ERA in Seattle. Brandon Maurer picked up his first win of the season in his last outing, and should take to the mound as a confident pitcher for this one, especially at home. The Royals have gotten strong pitching of late and have a rested pen, as they have allowed just two total runs in their last three games. The offense, however, has dragged them down by scoring a meager 3 runs or less in 17 games thus far. The Royals are now 20-8-2 to the UNDER after scoring 2 or fewer runs in their previous game.
