One thing is clear after two weeks: This new Eagles offense can score. Can the Chiefs keep up? Philadelphia steamrolled Washington for 33 points in their opener and scored 30 on San Diego. Chip Kelly's offense is getting a lot of attention but it's not really that revolutionary, at least not yet. Contrary to what everyone thinks, the Eagles are not setting any records for pace. They did run 53 plays in the first half of their opener - a nationally televised game. But since then they have really slowed down. Overall after two games the Eagles have averaged 68 plays per game. That's on the high end, but there are seven other NFL teams that have run that many or more plays per game this season. If the pace of 68 per game keeps up, that would put them a full 6.3 plays per game lower than the 2012 Patriots who averaged 74.3 plays per game. The Chiefs are 2-0, already matching their season win total from a year ago. But, one of those wins came against the lowly Jaguars. The other win was a very close one at home. Last year this Chiefs team managed a grand total of 46 points in their last six road games (7.7 points per game). They will be better this year, but they are still going to struggle on the road vs. good teams. I just don't think they can outscore the Eagles in this one on the road. Philly, at 1-1 is hungrier here and will have a lot of crowd support and they won't underestimate Kansas City at 2-0. I do think this could be a close game but I don't see the Chiefs winning. Take the Eagles to win this game.
