WIN

The Yankees needed a boost in their starting rotation, and it has been Andy Pettitte to the rescue. Pettitte is back in 2010 form, as he is coming off an eight-inning, four hit, nine-strikeout shutout for eight innings vs. the Reds. His velocity, command, and savvy are all there, and he is poised to deliver on the mound for the Yanks. The Royals will send Wil Smith to the mound for his MLB debut at the Stadium - certainly not a good spot to combat the jitters. The Bombers are 172-78 in their last 250 at the Stadium vs. a lefthander. The Yankees have been money behind Pettitte to a line of -151 to -200 where they are 43-10 in his last 53 starts at home. Play on New York in this one.
