Kansas City at Houston

Lance McCullers is 4-1 with a 1.86 ERA at home this season.  He allowed one run in seven innings against Kansas City. The Astros are 21-6 at home their last 27 against teams with winning records and 45-19 their last 64 home games overall. Yordano Ventura started in Game 1, but only threw 42 pitches due to a rain delay. Ventura is 6-3 with a 4.30 ERA on the road. The Royals clinched the division early and did not have to play many meaningful games in September while Houston was essentially playing playoff baseball through the end of the regular season and has continued that momentum.
