Kansas City has been awful at home, but has a winning record (18-15) on the road. The KC offense was very strong last season and has finally turned a corner, hitting the baseball well and scoring 23 runs over the last six games. In fact, they've been winning on a 5-1 run, winning three times as a dog including as a +170 puppy yesterday, a 5-3 win at St. Louis. Now they head to a weak Houston squad that is on a 3-7 run and is 18th in runs scored, 23rd in on-base percentage and 22nd in slugging. Houston has lost 16 of their last 21 games. The Astros are 16-38 in their last 54 interleague games and 6-21 in their last 27 interleague home games. Starter J.A. Happ (4-7, 5.33 ERA) has been awful and in his last three starts the Astros are 0-3 and he has a 9.00 ERA! The Astros are 6-17 in Happ's last 23 starts with four days of rest and the Royals are 5-2 in the last seven meetings. Play the Royals.
