Kansas City at Boston

The Kansas City Royals start the second half of the season at two games over .500 for the season and certainly remain in contention for a playoffs spot in the AL. Boston took a similar roster into this season from last year's World Series win, but the hunger seems to be gone. Clay Buchholz has been a mystery with a 4-5 record and 5.42 ERA on the season, after dominating a year ago. James Shields has been a true road warrior as the Royals carry a 21-6 mark in his last 27 road starts. The Royals are also getting it done as a road dog overall, where they own an impressive 7-2 mark in their last nine as a road dog from +11 to +150. Boston is squandering opportunities at home vs. a winning team, where they are a hapless 1-9 in their last 10. This is not the Fenway of old, so take Kansas City.
