The Gaels have come a long way from their two win campaign just two years ago as they posted 12 wins last season and should best that mark this year. The Gaels aren't going to impress anyone with offense, but they are becoming a half-court sticky defensive team, limiting Hampton to 30% shooting in their opener. The Badgers are no strangers to defense themselves and often play games in the 50s and 60s, and that makes the lofty points in this one very lucrative as possessions should be limited. The Badgers had to replace All Big Ten center Brian Butch as well as Micheal Flowers - their top defender, so this team might be better late than early in the season. They already had a scare at home as they were a 22-point favorite against Long Beach and won by just seven in a low-scoring affair. This is their first road test and this number is too big.
