Result:
LOSS

Wichita State takes a short trip to Omaha for their tourney opener. Wichita State has had a great season for the second straight year, losing just four games (five losses in two years). They went to #25 Utah as a +6 dog and lost by a point in OT. This is the sixth time in the Gregg Marshall era that Wichita State has faced a school from the Big Ten, and the previous results have been great. The Wichita State Shockers are 4-1 against the Big 10 in the last eight seasons with an NIT win over Nebraska and an NCAA Elite Eight victory over Ohio State. It's a veteran team with a great backcourt, which you need this time of the year, behind Ron Baker (15 ppg) and Fred VanVleet (12.7 ppg, 5.3 apg). They play tough defense and go up against an Indiana team that plays no defense, a young team for Coach Tom Crean. They seem to have lost confidence down the stretch, losing 9 of the last 14, with turnovers and a shortage of defense. The Hoosiers are 2-5 ATS in their last seven neutral site games, plus 0-4-1 ATS in their last five NCAA Tournament games. The Shockers are on a 46-20-2 ATS run and 13-4 ATS in their last 17 neutral site games. Play Wichita State.
