Top pick: #6 (HUNK A PIE) (4-1) - Gelding moves up a bit in price after just failing to hang on here May 23rd when racing at this distance for a $10K tag. Solid effort came second off a six month break and speedster will be tough to catch in this spot.
2nd pick: #10 (Hoosier Outlaw) (7-2) - He's won two in a row and has done so from just off the lead in each. Much improved since coming off a 6 1/2 month layoff in late April and is a win candidate again this afternoon.
3rd pick: #8 (Runaway Raj) (6-1) - Colt has faced tougher in all three starts since returning off a layoff on May 1st and trainer Bobby Gorham will drop him into a claimer for the first time. Fits with these and must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #2 (Bird of Praise) (10-1) - Longshot raced evenly on May 28th and was 3 1/2 back of "Hunk" at the finish. Race was off a seven month layoff and it wouldn't take much improvement for him to be a factor at a big price.
5th pick: #1 (G I Joey) (5-2) - Has the rail, early speed, and is another racing in a claimer for the first time. Can factor, but he'll most likely be over-bet.
