Top pick: #3 (HEARTLESS) (5-2) - Shee ships in from Churchill where 3-year-old was an impressive winner on the dirt facing $15K 2l opposition. Claimed that day by Bob Cline, he ships her here, switches her to the grass, and moves her up in price. I like her chances.

2nd pick: #6 (Don't Insist) (7-2) - Lightly raced and well-bred, she hasn't raced since Aug. 3 when she was a winner on the Arlington grass racing for a $16K tag. Working fine, well-spotted, and daughter of "Bernstein" is in a good barn (Eric Reed).

3rd pick: #4 (True Blue Julie) (6-1) - The field's most experienced runner (16-2-5-1) enters in shape and the fine barn of Mike Laurer will race her on the turf for the first time. Strong factor if she takes to the new surface.

4th pick: #5 (Jacksoncountyflash) (3-1) - Very consistent (7-2-2-2) against fellow Hoosier-breds, she goes dirt to turf and moves in sith "open" company. In shape stalker must be left in the mix.
