Illinois Chicago at Davidson

The Flames will have greater expectations and should contend for the Horizon crown as they return four starters that finished at 8-8 in the league last year. Davidson may have to temper expectations as they have lost four starters from a good team last year. The Flames are led by Othyus Jeffers who connected for 24 in his 1st game, and should be an All-Conf. selection this year. Davidson struggled on a neutral court vs a not so good E. Michigan team, and may find the going similar here vs a good Ill-Chi team. We prefer to take the points when an experinced team hits the road, vs one with much less experience early on, and it also helps having the best player on the court. ILL-CHI here.
