He was stakes placed last year on this surface and drops to a new low. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #6 (Luck Moly Miner) (3-1) - He's racing into shape following a long layoff (10 months), and has run well in his first pair back. Stalker would benefit greatly if the pace was fast and/or contested.
3rd pick: #4 (Southerly) (6-1) - Strong finisher raced evenly here from a tough outside post and was 6 1/2 back of "Miner" that afternoon. He gets the best of a post position switch with that rival and could factor at a square price.
4th pick: #1 (Chapel Boy) (5-1) - No speed he runs third back off a six month layoff and last out he was unprepared for the start. Veteran has since come back with a bullet half-mile work eight days ago, an unusual and positive move for a runner at this low claiming price.
