(# 1) HOLIDAY TRIP - Colt has two top tries over turf. He was an unlucky loser of debut at Saratoga when he was bumped as the field hit the far turn costing him two or three lengths. Eventually only missed victory by a long neck. Came back at Spa three weeks later and again ran strong second. Trainer Stanley Hough gave colt two months before next start, an off the turf affair at Belmont. He's drilled five times at Palm Meadows training center, the last four over the grass course there. With his tactical speed hedge draw should aid his style.

(# 3) Western Bluff - Dogwood Stable runner ran big second at Belmont the only time he competed over turf course. Son of Gone West has been a bit unlucky in that his other two races were moved to the dirt after washing off of the grass courses at Saratoga and Laurel. Bejarano and George Weaver have done pretty well together, (almost 20%).

(# 2) Altama - Tagg runner caught slop in debut at Delaware in October. He's regrouped with him and colt had strong series of works at Fair Hill training center before heading south.

(# 4) Duveen - Dale Roman's trainee has had his share of bad luck in three dirt races to date. Has fine turf work at Palm Meadows and most of his sire's (Horse Chestnut's) progeny prefer grass to dirt.
