He doesn't deal with many first-time-starters, but has won with five of 23 (26%) since Jan. 1 of 2019. Colt meets a weak group, and I give him a slight edge here.
2nd pick: #4 (Purecrazidude) (6-1) - He's been competitive in two straight dirt sprints that were taken 'off the turf.' 3yo has a stalking style, is clearly improving, and should factor at a square price.
3rd pick: #3 (Khozy My Boy) (8-1) - State bred tired while wide racing here at this tag and trip Dec. 18. He's brought back quickly by Scott Becker, 26-3-3-3 at the meet, and is dropping six pounds with apprentice Torres aboard.
4th pick: #5 (Chinomadito) (15-1) - Longshot drops back down after a troubled run here facing tougher Dec. 14. He had a solid effort facing tougher Nov. 7 and may grab a share at a big price with a repeat of that attempt.
