She missed by a 'neck' to today's rival 'Nonna Bella' when debuting here in a 6.5 furlong contest Feb. 4. Maiden win came March 5 going seven furlongs in an impressive score which was her first with lasix administered. Daughter of 'Quality Road' has been working fast since and is bred to like this longer trip. Gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #7 (Nonna Bella) (3-1) - She's won both sprints at the meet and as mentioned above she was a 'neck' in front of 'Salty' Feb 4. Speed/stalker is in the Pletcher barn and is a very serious player in this $250,000 stakes.
3rd pick: #2 (Tequilita) (5-1) - Consistent filly has won more races (three) than any other entered. Stalker won the G2 Forward Gal Stakes going seven furlongs here Feb. 4 and has been working fast at Palm Meadows for this attempt. Must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #3 (Summer Luck) (6-1) - No-speed type has been competitive in all five starts. Stretch runner was 2.5 lengths in back of 'Tequilita' Feb. 4 and followed that up with a near miss in the Davona Dale Stakes (G2) March 4. Late threat.
