Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #11 (SLOT) (5-2) - Colt has been sharp in all three dirt races and is moved to the grass here by trainer Todd Pletcher. Speedy sort is working above average at the Palm Beach Downs Training Center and is bred to handle the surface switch.
2nd pick: #2 (Sourdough) (6-1) - Another moving to the infield for the first time, he's shown early interest in all three on the main track and just missed going seven furlongs at Churchil Downs Oct. 22. Heavily bet in his last pair, Whitney home bred has a good post, and should be involved every step at a square price.
3rd pick: #8 (The Robert) (6-1) - Colt made up ground when debuting here going 7.5 furlongs at this level Dec. 2. Never asked to do much that day, the effort had the look of an educational run. He's worked fast twice since, and trainer Ed Kenneally (20% second time out) has John Velazquez aboard for this attempt.
4th pick: #10 (Causeur) (5-1) - Well bred colt has been competitive in three straight, two on the turf and one on the main track. Stalker has blinkers added by trainer Graham Motion, and that's a strong 28% winning move by the barn.
5th pick: #6 (Jailhouse Kitten) (10-1) - Ramsay home bred rallied to finish 4th here when debuting Dec. 2. He was a 1/2-length in front of 'The Robert' at the finish and draws a better post than he had that afternoon.
