Oklahoma City is awful. There, I said it. Having said it, I'm backing them tonight! The Thunder have lost 29 of 32 games thus far and are threatening the 1972-73 Phladelphia 76ers for the worst ever record (those Sixers went 9-73). So why back them here? This looks like a gift line from the oddsmakers. A team that has won just three out of 32 games is getting just 3 points? Of course the public is jumping all over the Warriors to the tune of seven of every ten bets. Not so fast. This small line should tell you something. Lost in the laughter surrounding the Thunder is the fact that Golden State is just 4-16 on the road this season and 7-13 ATS. They are allowing 113 ppg away from home. Should this team really be favored on the road? The Warriors are just 22-37 ATS since last season as a favorite. Two of the Thunder's three wins have not suprisingly come at home. They have the better defense in this game - by a long shot. They know this is a rare chance for a victory and I expect them to bring their "A" game as a result. In expected shootouts this season (total of 210+), Golden State is just 2-10 ATS this season. They are 5-13 ATS this season following a game in which they scored 105+ points and 0-8 ATS after two straight games at 105+. As hard as it is, take the Thunder here.
