Top pick: #1 (HARD PLAY) (7-5) - The probable favorite, he has fine early speed, draws the rail, runs second back from a seven week break, and trainer Jeff Bonde adds blinkers. Working well and he comes off an even effort following a poor start at Del Mar on Aug. 2.
2nd pick: #3 (Mauzzie) (3-1) - He's had tough outside posts in both starts and showed some early speed in each. He draws a much better starting slot today and should be involved from start-to-finish.
3rd pick: #5 (Shenzou) (5-1) - He stalked and tired when debuting at Del Mar on Aug. 29. Trainer Pat Biancone brings him back quickly and expect this gelding by "Songandaprayer" to be competitive at a square price
4th pick: #4 (Gray Satin) (20-1) - Debuting grey gelding is working fast at Los Alamitos and is in a barn (Keith Craigmyle) that wins a lot of races every year. Jockey Charlton ships in with the horse.
