Premium Pick

Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #6 (PRIME POWER) (9-2) - Gelding was an easy maiden winner here sprinting for a $30K tag Jan. 9th. Race was originally scheduled for the grass, but was switched to a sloppy main track. It was his first off a claim and a career best. Barn moves him to the turf and stretches him out in distance.

2nd pick: #11 (Conquest Caliente) (7-2) - Grey colt rallied to break his maiden here going a mile on the main track for a $30K tag Jan. 2nd. It was his first off a Brad Cox claim and a subsequent 21-month layoff. Barn has worked him three times since, and 3yo is a win candidate.

3rd pick: #8 (Baama Care) (8-1) - No speed type raced evenly while extremely wide facing tougher Jan. 24th. Gelding had rallied to finish 2nd in his previous start and is dropping down in class for this attempt. Fits nicely and Mike Mena is aboard for the first time.

4th pick: #2 (Junkers) (5-1) - In the dangerous barn of Tom Amoss, this son of 'Uncle Mo' has early speed and breaks from the rail. He tired last out facing tougher in his first on the turf and can factor today from start-to-finish.

5th pick: #5 (Notimeforthat) (10-1) - Very lightly raced, he tired badly facing tougher in an 'off the turf' contest Dec. 28th. Speed/stalker is bred for the grass and can impact this afternoon at a big price.
