Top pick: #4 (DISCREETLY MINE) - He showed a lot of talent and some "grittiness" last season and was switched to the Pletcher barn following his second-place finish in the Champagne" (G1). Son of "Mineshaft" had a troubled start in his thre-year-old debut in the "Spectacular Bid" stakers and did well to finish fourth after rushing up early. Working fast since he'll stretch-out in distance for this. The pick in a very difficult race.

2nd pick: #2 (Tempted to Tapit) - Recent maiden winner hit a "triple digit" beyer speed figure in that contest making him the only entrant to have done so. Sent to Gulfstream after that win at Aqueduct trainer Steve Klesaria has him working fast and fequently for this. It's a big step up, but he's lightly raced, improving, and has a more room for upside.

3rd pick: #6 (Droosselmeyer) - He looked super when winning a first-level allowance at Gulfstream in his seasonal debut his first race in 2 1/2 months. Well-bred, lightly raced, and in the barn of "Hall of Famer" Bill Mott. Lots of things to like.

4th pick: #8 (Worldly) - He "hung" a bit last out when finishing fifth of 10 in the "Le Comte" stakes (G3) on this surface last out. Race had a very fast pace and favored the deep-closers. Think he'll run better today.
