The Edmonton Oilers have struggled as a franchise and have not been a .500 or better team now for seven years running. They, like most poor teams, will have a couple short runs during the course of a long season, and a lot of long losing streaks. The Oilers won four straight earlier in the season and have currently gone 6-5 in their last 11 games, well above their overall pace this season, and they have trended UNDER the total in their last dozen games. Ottawa had a four game winning streak right after dropping their opener, but has not won two straight games in well over a month, and is just 7-14 in their last 21. And they have played at a low level for an extended period. One of the problems has been the fact that in those 14 losses in their last 21 games, they scored two or less goals in 11 of them. Edmonton is a bad team going good while Ottawa is a bad team going bad, and Edmonton certainly has a good shot here. The Senators history vs. the Pacific is 17-37 in their last 54 against them, and the road team has won seven of the last eight in this series. Edmonton has had success holding down bad teams on the road where they are 13-2-2 to the UNDER when facing a team with a losing home record in their last 17. They have also been 21-9-3 to the UNDER in their last 33 vs. the Eastern Conference. Make the play on Edmonton and the UNDER in this one.
