East Carolina vs. Rice

The East Carolina Pirates early in the season looked like they might be able to score some, more than we have seen out of this team in recent years as they managed to hit the 70 mark in eight of their first 14 games. That was an illusion painted by a soft early schedule.  After the 14 games, reality struck. The Pirates have managed to top the 70 point mark in just three of their last 11 and have not done so in their last seven. They will be looking to shorten the game here vs. a Rice team that they beat at home by 14 during the regular season.  That should fuel the Owls defensive initiative here. The Pirates are controlling the clock as a dog leading to an 11-5 UNDER mark in their last 16 taking points. Play the UNDER in this one.
