Drake at Iowa State

The Bulldogs were the surprise of the NCAA Basketball season last year as they put together a 28-5 mark as well as an NCAA Tournament bid. This gave the team a chance to develop depth as many games lead to garbage time, and for those departing seniors the replacement pieces have a lot more court seasoning. A lot of the firepower still remains from a team that produced 74 ppg a year ago and at 6-2 Drake should again be in the mix in the MVC. Iowa State is off to a surprising start as there is only one player on the roster that was in the program three years ago, yet the Cyclones are 6-1 and a perfect 5-0 at home. The Cyclones have done it with depth as they have eight players that are getting 17+ minutes per game. They have been able to produce points as they have four players connecting on over 40% from behind the arc. The Bulldogs should get their points here and have been 13-5 to the OVER in their last 18 games overall. The Cyclones have produced OVERS against the better teams (.600 or better) where they have cashed the OVER in four of their last five. I look for this one to follow those trends and go OVER the posted total.
