Detroit at Kansas City

The Detroit Tigers are going through a painful rebuild and the record speaks of that. Detroit's loss to KC last night has left them at 40-97 on the season, but even worse since early May. The loss leaves the Tigers a woeful 1-10 in their last 11 games. Their best pitching option is Matt Boyd. On any other team, Boyd would probably have a decent record, but the Tigers are just 4-16 in his last 20 starts so oddsmakers are certainly overestimating his impact when he is on the mound. It's just too hard to consider the Tigers at any price right now, so play on Kansas City.
