Detroit at Chicago

The Detroit Tigers have reduced the White Sox’s lead to 1 game in the AL Central. They will try to even things up tonight behind their ace Justin Verlander. Verlander has been a top pitcher for the last few years, but things have unraveled for him. The Tigers have gone 10-10 in his last 20 starts, and he has allowed 15 runs over his last three starts. Rookie phenom Chris Sale has actually been the better pitcher in this season at 16-6, with a slightly better ERA. That advantage is even larger when Sale takes the ball at home where he is 9-2, backed by an ERA of 1.72. While Verlander has the name, we have what has been the better pitcher on the mound at home at plus odds, so there is a lot of value going into this one.
