Premium Pick
1 unit on Denver +9.5 (-110) (risk 1 to return 1.91)
Result:
LOSS

The Nuggets gave it all they had at home on Monday night. The Spurs proved to be just too good for them, especially with Eduardo Najera on the bench. The abscence of his scrappy play has really hampered the Nuggets. Denver simply has no answer for Manu Ginobili who is killing them. But, tonight we get a nice +9.5 on a team that has no pressure really anymore and remembers beating San Antonio on their floor in game 1. I expect a low-scoring game that ends up closer than this spread. San Antonio left a lot on the floor on Monday, too in what was a marathon game. They've got be feeling a bit releived and tired. San Antonio is 1-6 ATS off 2 or more consecutive road wins this season. Games featuring a good defensive team ( allowing <91 points/game) following a game with a combined score of 225 points or more have gone UNDER 82% of the time (27-6) over the last 5 seasons. The Spurs are holding opponents to 40.9% from the field at home this season and they are 19-5 UNDER versus good offensive teams (scoring 99+ points/game) this season. San Antonio is also 13-2 UNDER at home as a favorite of 3.5 to 9.5 points this season, 6-1 UNDER at home in the first round of the playoffs over the last 3 seasons and 13-4 UNDER when the total is between 190 and 199.5 points this season. One star on Denver and two stars on the UNDER here.
