(# 5) STEEL PIER - Trainer Larry Jones (of Hard Spun) fame has been doing quite well in this, his second season at Delaware Park. This horse ran well at Jones's winter base of Oaklawn Park, winning once with two second-place finishes. Jones brought him back after a seven-week break and ran him in a six-furlong race, which is not his best distance. Today runner goes back to mile + racing, and the sprint prep should have him on his toes.

(# 4) Smelling Salts - Impressive win here against softer opposition on May 2. Figure earned was a good one and he's working well for this.

(# 1) Jacinth - Speedy sort, draws the rail and is making his second start of the season for a sharp outfit.
