Top pick: #2 (MR. SOUL) - Veteran has a "ton" of back class and finished second here last out from a tough outside post in his second back off a 10-month break and first ever at this price and first on this surface. Looks set for his best in his third off the long layoff.
2nd pick: #3 (Worthy Wager) - Gelding spent the early part of his career racing for "Hall of Fame" trainer H. Allen Jerkens on the tough New York circuit and won three times there. Claimed this past April at Gulfstream, 4-year-old is now in the Juan Vazquez barn and has finished second in his last pair after returning from a 3 1/2 month layoff. Speed/stalker missed by a head last out and looks set for another big effort.
3rd pick: #1 (Carson's Hawk) - Another with back class and he races second back off a 9 month layoff. Gelding raced evenly facing tougher sprinting at Presque Isle in his return race Sept. 21 and trainer Jamie Ness will drop him a bit in price, move him to real dirt, and stretch him out in distance. Has the rail and is a big threat.
