Top pick: #1 (SILVER PRADO) - Lightly-raced colt by "Speightstown" showed some promise late in 2010 when he first came to the races and broke his maiden at Philly Park last Dec. 18 going 6 furlongs in fast time. Grey 4-year-old did not run again until 12 days ago when he raced evenly at Presque Isle in an entry-level allowance. Probably needed that start and trainer Mike Trombetta drops him into a claimer and adds blinkers for this attempt. Has the rail and is the horse to beat on a quick turnaround.
2nd pick: #6 (Stolz) - Five-year-old gelding by "Orientate" rallied to finish third facing a bit tougher at Penn National August 26, in his first race since a second-place finish here at this price and trip June 18. Speed/stalker draws a nice post in this small field and is a win candidate.
