Home-bred had trained for his debut on this surface but trainer Todd Pletcher decided to try him at Saratoga in his first start. Takes a big drop today, moves to the dirt, and will be very tough to beat.
2nd pick: #1 (Bandidos Yanquis) - Nice effort at this price just six days ago saw him miss by a nose after being involved from start to finish. Has the rail, fine early speed, and looks next best.
3rd pick: #5 (Lifasi ) - First time starter has been prepared at trainer Chris Grove's home base of Bowie and the works are steady and about average. Field isn't that strong on paper and he can factor first out.
