Claimed at Churchill on June 6, horse had put together a pair of nice races, at the long one-turn mile that they run there. Freshened up since, he had worked very well in Kentucky for his return, and had a get acquainted work here on July 18. This is Talamo's first day as a journeyman rider.

(# 5) Rush With Thunder - Consistent runner on both turf and dirt, he finished fourth at Hollywood last Dec. in his only "Poly" race. Drops to a new low here, and his up-close running style should have him in it until the end.

(# 7) Dixie Music Roll - Last effort his best in two seasons of racing. Race was at the middle-distance of 7.5 furlongs at Hollywood, and level is the same today. Needs to avoid a wide trip.

(#' 6) River Rebel - Tried tougher in last, his first since breaking his maiden in fine fashion. Those starts were only two weeks apart, and maybe can explain the bit of a regression. Has had a month to recuperate, and think he'll run well in this one.
