Top pick: #1 (AWESOME BABY) (5-2) - One of two entered by the Baffert barn and this daughter of "Awesome Again" is the probable favorite. Heavily backed when debuting here on Aug. 4, filly was an easy winner in fast time. Working very fast since and she's the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #6 (She's a Tiger) (4-1) - She's gone 3-2-1-0 so far, and won the $150K "Landaluce" at Hollywood July 13th. Daughter of "Tale of the Cat" just missed here last out in the "Sorrento" (G2) and will race with blinkers on today.
3rd pick: #7 (Sprouts) (6-1) - One of three stakes winners entered, Reddam home-bred has won three races in a row and took the $100K "Cinderella" stakes at Hollywood on June 15th. In the mix.
4th pick: #8 (Secret Compass) (6-1) - The second of the Baffert pair, she tries winners for the first time after getting her maiden win here on July 28th. Price play draws a nice outside post and should get a fast pace to rally into.
