2nd pick: #13 (Jens de Ville) (5-2) - He's racing first off a Pete Miller claim (22%) in this spot. Stretch runner finished 2nd at this price tag here July 17 on the day he switched barns. He draws a tough post, but is a win candidate if he avoids a wide trip from his outside post.
3rd pick: #4 (Pyrotechnics) (8-1) - Long time maiden has a bit of speed and has tired during the stretch run of his last two on the dirt. This is a pretty weak bunch once past the top two picks, so he can impact at a big price.
4th pick: #2 (Fortyate Hi Points) (10-1) - He enters off a career best when he finished a distant 2nd last out at Los Alamitos to a heavy favorite racing at this tag and trip July 10. He's worked well since, and gelding may grab a minor award.
5th pick: #1 (Majestic C) (12-1) - Longshot has the rail and races with blinkers off. 4yo has raced evenly in all three sprints and is trying a two-turn distance for the first time.
