2nd pick: #8 (Maddog Mattie) (5-1) - Filly has run well in both starts since dropping down to this level and her stalking style shoulf play out nicely in this field. However, it's of note that Raf Bejarano is on "Candy" instead of this miss.
3rd pick: #3 (Secret Memo) (8-1) - Speedy sort was sub-par last out in her first back from almost a seven month layoff. She did not break sharply that day and was forced very wide turning for home. Training well since and a threat at a square price.
4th pick: #4 (Glad's Gals) (6-1) - Lightly-raced filly rallied to finish 4th at this price racing at Hollywood on July 13th. Race was her first in exactly a year and it's nice to see her come back on short notice.
5th pick: #9 (Scary Fast) (7-2) - Heavily bet on July 5th, filly missed by a neck in her first start since late April of 2012. The "figure" earned was "light" and she'll need to improve today, which is quite possible.
