2nd pick: #11 (Moonlit Meteor) (7-2) - Gelding by "Malibu Monn" is nearing his 6th birthday and has only made one start. Racing at Hollywood Park last Nov., he was away slowly and rallied from 13 lengths behind to finish 6th of 13, beaten 1 1/2 lengths. Working nicely for his return and a win threat if ready.
3rd pick: #1 (Scatman Blues) (3-1) - He takes a big drop in price and shortens up in distance in his second back from a two month freshening. He draws a tricky post, but is a major player with an alert getaway.
4th pick: #10 (Spotted Owl) (20-1) - Gelding has had excuses in all three starts and will stretch-out a furlong and race with blinkers removed after a one race experiment.
5th pick: #13 (Chicago Hero) (20-1) - Huge longshot moves out in the gate and stretches out in distance after a troubled trip here Aug. 11. He has some talent and could grab a share at a very big price.
