DEL MAR Race #10

Sunday 07/27 06:40 PM Eastern

Top pick: #11 (Q'VIVA) (7-2) - Daughter of "Tribal Rule" is going turf to "poly," dropping in class, and racing third back from a seven-week break. Stalker has been competitive in her last pair facing tougher on the grass and is the horse to beat if she handles the surface switch.

2nd pick: #3 (Runningwiththelute) (9-2) - Speedy filly just failed to hang on at Los Alamitos facing just a bit tougher on July 10. It was her first since May 3, and home-bred by "Midnight Lute" should be involved from start-to-finish.

3rd pick: #9 (Inflamed) (12-1) - Bred, owned, and trained by Barry Abrams, filly raced evenly facing tougher on the Los Alamitos dirt on July 5. Useful effort came off almost a 22-month absence, and he has her working fast since. She's also dropping in class and making back-to-back starts for the first time. Price play.

4th pick: #4 (Miss Kit Kat) (6-1) - Debuting filly has some fine works showing, and trainer John Sadler wins at an excellent 27% clip first out. She need not be anything special to factor against this group.

5th pick: #13 (Ryderoo) (9-2) - Long time maiden is on the also-eligible list and needs one scratch to compete. She's finished second in three straight on the dirt and is a factor if she gets to compete.
