Top pick: #1 (L T RECKLESS) (2-1) - She was a very impressive gate-to-wire winner racing for twice this price at Santa Anita on June 1. It was her first off a Bob Diodoro claim, and filly earned the highest "figure" any of these has attained. Working fast, she draws the rail, and she ran well here last year when still a maiden. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #7 (Yodel Up a Strorm) (5-1) - One of two entered by trainer John Sadler. Lightly raced, she hasn't run since June 1 when she tired facing much tougher at Santa Anita. She broke her maiden a last August right here at Del Mar and is a threat if she comes with her best.
3rd pick: #3 (Among the Stars) (3-1) - The second of the Sadler fillies, speed/stalker is working very fast for her first in just over two months. Fits with her best, and barn drops her to a new low.
4th pick: #2 (When I'm Calling U) (9-2) - Golden Gate shipper has a fine record on synthetic surfaces (10-2-3-4), and no speed type should get a fast and/or contested pace to rally into.
