Whoa nelly. Break up the Dodgers! They've won eleven straight now. Will this streak ever end? I say yes and I say it happens tonight. I love how Jeff Francis is pitching right now. While Derek Lowe is 6-3 at home with a 3.81 ERA, Francis has a very respectable 3.99 road ERA. And over his last three starts he's allowed just 4 earned runs in 24 innings as he's gone 8 innings per start. That's red hot. The Dodgers are just 8-15 with Lowe on the mound vs. division opponents over the past two seasons. Teams that have won 51% to 54% of their games at +125 to -125 off 4 or more consecutive wins, are just 25-58 (30%) over the last 5 seasons. The Dodgers have defied reason of late, thanks to great pitching including two starts from Maddux. Maddux isn't starting tonight. Colorado here.
