Stop the presses! The Colorodo Rockies are 13-10 and 8-3 on the road. This is a team that was the laughing stock of the National League last year and now finds itself above .500 with some of the best young talent in the league. The Marlins continue to struggle and are 6-14. The Rockies send their new acquisition Fogg to the mound, the once Pirate who thus far this season has pitched decent at a 2-1 record with a 4.77 ERA. The Marlins' young gun Vargas hasn't fared as well at 1-1 with a 5.06 ERA. Fogg was 2-0 against the Marlins last year and gave up just 4 runs in over 11 innings with the Pirates. The Rockies continue to find ways to win as they are simply a better overall ballclub headed in a positive direction as compared to the Marlins who are coversely headed in the opposite direction. Colorado is 9-3 in their last 12 as an underdog while Florida is just 1-6 as a favorite of late and the Rockies currently have won the last four in this series. Florida is 4-14 as a home favorite of -100 to -125 over the past two seasons. Finally, teams at 54%-62% on the season that have won 2 of their last 3 games, facing a team at .380 or worse on the season are 176-66 (73%) over the last 5 seasons. Wrong team favored here. Rockies should win.
