Cincinnati at St. Louis

Cincinnati is a dog, but has a terrific arm on the mound in lefty Brandon Finnegan (2.84 ERA). He helped the team to a 3-2 win over the Phillies fanning nine, with three hits and one walk in six innings, then carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning against the Chicago Cubs. He was dealt to the Reds as the centerpiece of the Johnny Cueto trade. While the Reds have a budding 23-year-old ace, the Cardinals have a 34-year-old former ace going in Adam Wainwright (0-1, 6.55 ERA). Wainwright has been terrible, walking eight in 11 innings with opponents hitting .308 off him. Wainwright in only 8-9 with a 4.18 ERA in his career against Cincinnati, and the Cardinals are 3-7 versus the National League Central. Play the Reds.
