Cincinnati at Pittsburgh

There is no doubt that neither of these teams are where they had hoped to be to start the season. They have both struggled, and are both under .500 through the first 20+ games on the season. Pitching has ruled the series so far and Cincinnati has received two strong efforts in a row to lead the four game series 2-1. Pittsburgh has the edge on the hill today as they send Brandon Cumpton out to salvage a series split. Cumpton was 2-1 with a dazzling 2.05 ERA last year, and has been great in the minors to start 2014. The Reds are just 3-8 following a win in their last 11, and as a road favorite of -110 to -150 they are an ugly 2-7 in their last nine. The Pirates have been bouncing back off a poor offensive showing, logging a 42-18 mark in their last 60 after scoring 2 or fewer in their previous game. Go with the Pirates.
