Cincinnati at Philadelphia

Just a few short years ago, Philadelphia had a fierce and intimidating lineup, but that lineup has aged and overall is unproductive. The Phillies may be sinking fast as the offense has gone stone cold, having been shutout two straight times, and four times over their last 10 games. The Reds' pitching has held four of their last five opponents to 2 runs or fewer with all five games playing UNDER. Their offense has seen no punch either, producing 3 runs over their last pair of games. I doubt that the offense gets healthy here as they are 30-14-2 to the UNDER in their last 46 vs. a left-handed starter. The Phillies are getting good mileage out of Hamels at home, where just two of his last 12 starts have gotten OVER the total. Overall, the UNDER is 7-2-1 in his last 10 starts vs. Cincinnati. Go with the UNDER in this one for my MLB May Total of the Month.
