Premium Pick

Top pick: #3 (SUMMER SOIREE) - Much improved in her last pair, filly was an easy wire-to-wire win at Oaklawn in her seasonal debut Jan. 30, then was even more impressive when taking the Bourbonette S.(G3) two months later on the synthetic surface at Turfway Park. Working fast since, filly by "War Front" will be tough if she gets an easy lead.

2nd pick: #1 (Joyful Victory) - Lightly raced, improving, has a flexible style, and grey daughter of "Tapit" draws the rail. Always highly thought of, she's working very fast for her first since April 10 when she was an easy winner at Oaklawn in the Fantasy S. (G2). I almost put her on top.

3rd pick: #4 (Kathmanblu) - She's won stakes the last two times she ran on real dirt, including a 8 1/2 length win last fall on this surface in the Golden Rod (G2). Very consistent, working fine, and the 9 furlong trip will not pose a problem for this strong finisher. Win candidate.

4th pick: #6 (Zazu) - West-coast invader has talent, a strong late kick, is in a top barn (John Sadler), and is another that will have no problem getting the distance.
