Another winner-take-all postseason game! Chicago has come through in the clutch in countless games the last seven years while St. Louis...well, not so much. The Blackhawks have it all, experience, talent, and perfect balance. They are #6 in the NHL in goals scored, #2 on the power play, and #10 in goals allowed. The Blues have been knocked out in the opening round in each of the last three seasons, including a 2014 six-game series against the Blackhawks in which they led 2-0. St. Louis led this series 3-1, then lost Game 5 in double-overtime, 4-3, at home. Blues defenseman Alex Pietrangelo said, "It's going to be fun to win it in Chicago," after which they got blown out, 6-3, to force Game 7. Chicago improved to 45-15 in Games 4-7 and 15-1 in Game 6s in eight seasons under coach Joel Quenneville. The Blues may have home ice, but they have flopped when the pressure is on, and are 5-11 in their last 16 Conference Quarterfinals games. Play Chicago.
