Chicago at St. Louis

St. Louis has been trading wins and losses now for seven straight games. They come off a loss again last night to the lowly Cubs. One of the marks of a great team like the Cards is that they rarely lose two straight, especially to teams they are supposed to beat. They are 64-22 over the past two seasons off a loss. Mulder goes for the Cards tonight and he's money as a big favorite going 17-2 as a favorite of -150 or more over the past two seasons. He's also 16-1 as a starter at home and 17-3 after a loss over the past decade. Countering for the Cubs is Glendon Rusch who brings a 7.05 ERA into this game. Rush has lasted just 4.5 innings per start this season. The Cubs are scoring 2.9 runs per game vs. left handed starters. St. Louis should come out motivated and tag Rusch and the Cubs here.
