Chicago at Los Angeles

The best team in baseball has one of their aces going. Chicago attempts to regain the series lead behind right-hander Jake Arrieta. He had a dominant season at 18-8 with a 3.10 ERA, including 11-3 on the road. He pitched seven innings of two-hit scoreless ball against the Dodgers earlier in the year, his only start against them. Arrieta is 29-10 on the road the last four years. During the regular season the Cubs ranked third in runs scored in all of baseball, second in on-base percentage, #10 in slugging. By contrast, the Dodgers slipped to #17 in runs scored, #18 in on-base percentage and slugging. Los Angeles goes with 36-year-old soft-throwing lefty Rich Hill, who is 0-1 with a 6.43 ERA in the postseason. He lasted just seven total innings over two starts against Washington in the NLDS. The Dodgers are a dismal 4-11 in League Championship games. Meanwhile the talented and balanced Cubs are 19-6 after a defeat, 20-7 following an off day and 36-15 when Arrieta starts on the road.
